On Think Tanks website and branding

On Think Tanks (OTT) is a digital hub for articles and resources of interest to think tanks around the world, and their staff and supporters. The OTT platform aims to help think tanks to be more strategic in their short- and long-term decision-making. It is internationally-focused, led by practitioners, and fuelled by a passion for good public policy practice.

On Think Tanks has become a respected and well-known website in the worldwide policy community since their founding in 2010, but had outgrown the simple blogging framework of their old site. In response to one of the core user goals for the new site, Soapbox designed and developed the site architecture around a shared, collaborative space for the wider OTT network. A new dynamic homepage serves as a gateway into a range of content types and showcases ideas from across the former OTT blog and sister websites, establishing On Think Tanks as the go-to organisation for information for think tankers in the developing and developed world.

A further part of the project was to develop a cohesive and professional brand identity for On Think Tanks and their affiliate initiatives for the first time. Our branding and web design reflect On Think Tanks’ online presence as a global, inclusive, knowledgeable, collaborative and provocative community.
